Now the devaswom department has given good news to the home taxpayers. There will be a deduction on tax deposit from this month onwards.

The municipal corporation has come forward to provide tax rebate to those living in small houses. According to the new decision of the municipal corporation, from April onwards, if the house tax is deposited, you will get a good subsidy.

If the rent is more than Rs 900 per annum, 15% house tax will be levied. 900, the municipal corporation charges 5% less house tax. Corporation Commissioner Inderjit Singh made a statement that more than 50,000 people in particular will benefit from this exemption.

Municipal Commissioner said that there will be a 10% discount from April 1 to July 31. However, there will be a 5% discount from August 1 to December 31. There will be no exemption for depositing house tax after January 1, 2025.

Employees who have municipal corporation and other similar services and are living in the same house in the city are not required to pay house tax. Inderjit Singh said ex-servicemen who have received the Param Vir Chakra, Ashoka Chakra, other soldiers or any Shaurya Chakra or their dependent spouse, minor children or unmarried daughters are also exempt from the normal tax.
